Technical Sales Engineer (80% - 100%)

Fluxim AG is a provider of simulation software and measurement instruments to the display, lighting, and photovoltaics communities worldwide. Our R&D tools are used in industrial and academic research laboratories for the development of emerging OLED Displays and Solar Cells. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting our simulation software and measurement hardware solutions to potential customers. You will work with a team of sales and marketing experts to identify and develop new business opportunities and to provide technical expertise and support to our potential and existing customers. You will also be responsible for giving technical presentations and demonstrations, and for responding to technical inquiries and requests from the prospects and our distributors.

Your key responsibilities are:  

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. 

  • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to prospects and distribution partners. 

  • Provide technical consulting and support to prospects and customers throughout the whole sales process. Respond to technical inquiries from prospects in academia and industry.  

  • Regularly consult with the product managers and the R&D team to stay up to date and provide market feedback.   

  • Maintaining the company databases of sales records, sales statistics, and CRM.  

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research and customer outreach. 

  • Attend trade shows and conferences to promote our products and R&D services. 

  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and provide feedback to the product managers and the R&D team. 

  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure a high reach of the developed marketing collaterals and campaigns. 

 

YOUR PROFILE 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who possesses both empathy and a strong passion for high-tech, aligning well with this description:  

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Physics, Material Science, Engineering, or related field.  

  • Minimum of 3 years of technical sales experience, preferably in the photovoltaics or display industry, is a strong advantage.  

  • Strong technical background and understanding of semiconductor physics, optics, device simulation, or characterization.  

  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, project management tools, and social media is beneficial.  

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Additional languages are a plus.  

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Willingness to travel  internationally (10%).
