Setfos 3 comes with three modules for light absorption, organic semiconductors drift-diffusion and light emission, respectively. Each module can be licensed separately or combined for fully coupled electrical-optical calculations.

1. Licensing options:
● Lease License: This licensing option includes the lease of the software during one year along with support and updates. Every subsequent year, you may renew the license as is or adapt the module combination matching your current needs.
● Special License: After a higher initial licensing fee, in every subsequent year a mandatory support & update fee applies that amounts to 20% of the initial price. No change in the module combination possible.
● Purchase License: The purchase includes current software version, support as well as updates during 4 years. After the 4th year, the license is terminated and the user is not entitled to receive neither updates nor support. Nevertheless, the software can still be run. No change in the module combination possible.

2. License types:
● Portable Single-user License: The Single-user License allows whichever computer has the USB hardware key / dongle attached to it to run the software. Volume discounts apply as reported in the pricing table.
● Floating (network) License: With the Floating License, setfos' license manager and the USB hardware key are installed on a network server PC. When another computer on the same network tries to run the software, it queries the license manager of the server PC to see if there are any available licenses. If licenses are available, that computer may (locally) start the software. For multiple licenses, more than one simulation may be running at any one time, with the upper limit of the number of simultaneous simulations limited only by the total number of licenses purchased.
